For the first time in 30 years of marriage, I went on a “Girl’s Weekend,” and surprisingly enough, enjoyed myself! I think I’ll do it again. . . Linda, Louise and Linda left Lancaster bright and early Saturday morning and headed to Linda’s place (the other Linda!) at the shore. We made it in the middle of the afternoon, after stopping at a garage sale, couple of stores and then just had to have Grotto Pizza!
It’s not a picture in Rehoboth unless you are having it taken on the Boardwalk, is it? Some very nice man offered to take the picture and we accepted and handed him our cameras! Then it was on to get ice cream and french fries!
Everytime I see the vivid colors of the sky, beach and umbrellas, it never fails to take my breath! It’s such a beautiful sight!
While at Linda’s I took a walk and on the way out of her development came across this rose bush ~
Turning south I found this mailbox, and couldn’t believe it was still in use!
. . . and exactly how does the mail deliverer know the address? This is how!
As we walked around the yard at Linda’s we came across some interesting mushrooms. None of us had ever seen a red mushroom. Have you?
. . . and the final picture is of a variety of holly that we learned was called “Grape Mahonia.” These bushes are outside of a Grotto Pizza and the hostess saw us examining the bush closely. When we walked in, she told us the variety was the Grape Mahonia. Pretty, isn’t it?
Since there’s no way I’m going to take a camera on a shopping trip (wastes too much valuable shopping time!) the rest of our excursions were not recorded and cannot be posted! Trust me, it was a delightful weekend and one I hope to repeat soon!
